Kalif Storch: A Magical Puppet Theater Adventure in Augsburg
A mysterious magic powder, a curious caliph, and a journey full of surprising twists: With Kalif Storch, a fairytale children's theater experience comes to Augsburg. The story based on Wilhelm Hauff takes young audiences and families into an oriental world between palace, magic, and great tests of courage.
When the Magic Transforms the Stage
The caliph of Baghdad, together with his loyal companion, discovers a powder with unusual effects. Suddenly, the two transform into storks and learn to understand the language of birds. But a crucial magic word is forgotten – and from the fascinating game begins an exciting adventure.
Fairytale Atmosphere and Lively Stage Performance
The production combines puppet theater, fairytale storytelling, and an imaginative stage world. Movements, voices, light, and sound bring the characters to life and create an immediate live atmosphere. For children aged five and up, it provides a concert experience of a special kind: not a concert in the classical sense, but a visual and acoustic interplay that invites wonder, laughter, and excitement.
A Story about Wishes, Happiness, and Courage
Behind the humorous plot is a timeless fairy tale about small and large wishes, friendship, and the search for happiness. The caliph must learn to take responsibility and face a difficult task. The clear dramaturgy, the precise synchronization of the characters, and the imaginative conduction of the stage moments make the performance particularly accessible for young theater guests.
A Family Outing with Lasting Impressions
The Augsburg Puppet Theater provides the perfect setting for this lovingly staged fairytale. Amidst gazing children's eyes, an eager audience atmosphere, and oriental fantasy unfolds a theater experience that families can enjoy together. The performance is particularly aimed at children aged five and up and combines entertainment with a story that resonates long after the final applause.
