Caliph Stork: Magical Enchantment in the Augsburg Puppet Theatre
On Friday, November 13, 2026, the enchanting world of the Augsburg Puppet Theatre opens in Augsburg. At 4:00 PM, Caliph Stork begins a imaginative puppet theater for children aged five and up.
A spell transforms the caliph
A curious caliph is transformed into a stork by a spell and forgets the saving magic word. Together with his loyal companion, he embarks on an adventurous journey: The curse must be broken and the realm protected from a sly wizard.
Puppet theater with a special stage atmosphere
The production connects classic fairy tale storytelling with the characteristic stage performance of the Augsburg Puppet Theatre. Precisely controlled puppets, atmospheric lighting, and the concentrated acoustics of the historic theater create an intense concert experience in a metaphorical sense: Every movement, every voice, and every scene change comes together in an artistic synchronization of play, language, and music.
A family experience full of excitement and fantasy
The story based on Wilhelm Hauff guides young viewers through a world full of magic, courage, and friendship. Between Oriental fairy tale flair, humorous moments, and dramatic twists, a lively audience atmosphere arises, pulling both children and adults into the action together.
An afternoon for little fairy tale fans
The performance is aimed at children aged five and up and lasts approximately 90 minutes, including an intermission. Thus, Caliph Stork is ideal for a special family afternoon in Augsburg.
