Young Sound Power in the Historic Rococo Hall
On Saturday, November 28, 2026, the Paul Ben-Haim Orchestra Academy will perform in the Rococo Hall of the Government of Swabia in Augsburg. The Academy Concert begins at 7:30 PM and showcases aspiring professional musicians on stage in an extraordinary historic setting.
Junior Talents of the Augsburg Philharmonic
The focus is on the academy members of the Paul Ben-Haim Orchestra Academy, founded in the 2024/25 season at the State Theater Augsburg. The academy provides young musicians with valuable orchestral experience and intense development within the environment of the Augsburg Philharmonic.
Orchestral Sound with Many Colors
The ensemble combines strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion. The program includes, among others, violin, viola, cello, double bass, flute, clarinet, bassoon, trumpet, trombone, and percussion. The diverse instrumentation promises a multifaceted concert experience with transparent sound colors, precise synchronization, and dynamic stage performance.
Musical Education with Historical Reference
The orchestra academy is named after the Jewish composer and musician Paul Ben-Haim. This connects the project musical excellence and talent promotion with the vivid memory of a significant artistic personality. The Academy Concert makes visible how professional orchestral work, education, and cultural responsibility intertwine.
A Special Concert Venue in Augsburg
The Rococo Hall of the Government of Swabia offers an impressive setting for classical music with its ornate wooden carvings, gold leaf, and historical atmosphere. The hall, which covers around 180 square meters, was formerly the dining room of the prince-bishop's residence and is now also used as a concert hall.
The audience can expect a focused concert experience with young musicians, classical orchestral sound, and a unique live atmosphere. Anyone wishing to experience the next generation of professional orchestral musicians in Augsburg should not miss this evening in the Rococo Hall.
