Rockfabrik Discothek | Augsburg & Photos

The Rockfabrik Discothek in Augsburg is much more than just a place for party nights: it is a well-established cult club with a clear scene identity, a long history, and a current location that combines tradition and modern club feeling. Officially, the venue describes itself as a place for diversity, emotion, and musical openness; rock, metal, pop, and gothic are as much part of its self-image as 80s and 90s parties, queer pop nights, or special themed evenings. Those looking for photos, reviews, or general impressions usually want to better understand this mix: How does the club feel today, how diverse is the program, and what makes the location in the exhibition and university district of Augsburg both practical and attractive? The official website provides a good starting point for this, as it connects history, current events, and infrastructure. Rockfabrik Discothek Augsburg: History since 1986

The history of the Rockfabrik begins, according to the official website, in 1986 in a former industrial hall on Riedingerstraße. From this starting point, a club developed that quickly became known far beyond Augsburg and established itself as a meeting place for rock and heavy metal fans. The self-presentation of the venue emphasizes not only the musical orientation but also its role as a cultural anchor for people who want to celebrate beyond the mainstream. This explains the cult status that many guests associate with the Rockfabrik: not an interchangeable party format, but a location with identity, recognizability, and a very own tone. Legends also include anecdotes highlighted by the operator, such as visits from musicians and celebrities like Lemmy from Motörhead, Metallica, Volbeat, or Die Fantastischen Vier, as well as the wrestling moment with Hulk Hogan. Such stories are more than mere nostalgia; they underline that the Rockfabrik has repeatedly been a point of intersection between subculture, live music, and club scene. The move in September 2023 to the new location does not mark a break but a continuation with different spatial means. The website explicitly emphasizes that the legendary spirit remains, even though the club now appears at the new location at Piccardstraße 6a. For search queries like rockfabrik discothek augsburg or rockfabrik discothek gmbh, this mix of history and present is particularly relevant, as it explains why the brand is so present in Augsburg. Program, Parties, and Concerts in the Current Rockfabrik Plan

The program of the Rockfabrik is strongly driven by dates and themes, making it ideal for users looking for events, dates, or themed parties. The official program page lists numerous dates covering different floors and event formats; these include club nights on the main floor, evenings in the basement, or events that utilize the entire facility. Content-wise, the Rockfabrik remains true to its profile: rock, metal, gothic, wave, and alternative repeatedly appear, complemented by pop, 80s, and 90s formats as well as special themed evenings. The official website also mentions queer pop nights, Disney parties, and other consciously open, diverse club concepts. This mix is important because search queries often target not just a music style but concrete evening types, moods, or community feelings. This is also evident on individual event pages: For Halloween, a large best-of-ROFA program with spooky decorations and drink specials is announced, while other dates focus on dark electro, wave, gothic, or metalcore. Additionally, specific presale dates can be found in the ticket shop, making planning easier. So, those searching for terms like halloween party rockfabrik discothek 31 oct, lovepop summer festival rockfabrik discothek 9 aug, or 80s party rockfabrik discothek 18 june are orienting themselves to this clear event structure. Particularly practical is that the Rockfabrik not only offers party dates but also concerts and concert nights; on the concert page and in individual event announcements, live formats are combined with subsequent DJ sets on multiple floors. This creates a visitor profile that is attractive for both scene audiences and pure party guests. ([rockfabrik-augsburg.de](https://rockfabrik-augsburg.de/programm?utm_source=openai))

Directions, Parking, and Public Transport to the Rockfabrik on Piccardstraße

The approach to the Rockfabrik is intentionally kept simple and is one of the most important practical advantages of the location. Officially, the club is located at Piccardstraße 6a, 86159 Augsburg, directly in the exhibition and university district and behind the PCI. The operator also points out a large free parking lot, which is a significant advantage for a discotheque with evening and night operations. Especially for guests from Augsburg and the surrounding area, the combination of free parking and clear location description is attractive, as it greatly simplifies planning in advance. Those who do not want to come by car will also find clear public transport indications: Tram line 3 stops at the Bukowina-Institut / PCI station, bus 41 at the Messe stop, and night bus 92 also at Bukowina-Institut / PCI. This makes the location easily accessible without a taxi or rideshare. The official event pages repeatedly emphasize these indications, showing how important visitor guidance is to the operator. For search queries like rockfabrik discothek augsburg or regional event terms, this is a relevant core of information, as the location is not located in the middle of a classic pedestrian zone but rather traffic-oriented in the exhibition area. The opening hours of individual event nights are also clearly stated on the pages; for some themed evenings, entry begins as early as the evening, and the location remains open until the early morning hours. This is helpful for visitors because, especially with clubs with longer nights, the question of parking, return trip, and public transport connection is often more important than the pure event description. Therefore, those planning specifically should always check the respective event in advance, as entry times, age rules, and box office can vary depending on the event. Two Floors, Outdoor Area, and the Special ROFA Spirit

A central feature of the Rockfabrik is the spatial concept. The official website describes two fully functional floors that can be played individually or together. This makes the venue flexible, as depending on the event, both a compact club evening and a larger multi-area format are possible. In addition, there is a spacious, partially covered outdoor area with a smoking terrace, food truck, campfire, and cozy seating. In event descriptions, this area is additionally staged as a night beer garden, street food zone, or covered outdoor area with street food. This creates a clear counter-model to a purely indoor discotheque: guests can switch between dancing, relaxing, talking, and being outdoors without leaving the event. Especially during long nights, this is a strong argument, as movement and breaks here do not function as opposites but as part of the experience. The club language of the Rockfabrik consciously focuses on atmosphere, scene feeling, and a certain degree of staging, without neglecting its practical side. It also fits that the operator describes the new location as a continuation of the old flair while simultaneously referring to modern club elements. The event pages for larger parties like anniversaries, summer festivals, or Halloween regularly emphasize the combination of indoor and outdoor programs, specials, decorations, and musical diversity. So, those looking for photos or reviews often want to get exactly this spatial impression: Is the location rather dark and compact, more open and versatile, or both at the same time? The official descriptions suggest that the Rockfabrik combines both. This is remarkable for Augsburg because the brand thus functions not only as a dance venue but also as an experience space where scene, encounters, and event dramaturgy interplay. Tickets, U18 Rules, and Practical Tips for the Visit

For planning a visit, the ticket shop of the Rockfabrik is an important anchor point. The official website shows a list of current and upcoming dates, where you can directly proceed to purchase tickets. At the same time, individual event pages make it clear that there can be different sales channels depending on the event, such as presale, box office, or special contingents. This is particularly relevant for party nights with high demand or concert formats with a clear time. Equally important are the age rules: The U18 page explicitly states that all under 18 years must bring a guardian and the completed, signed U18 form. Without these documents, entry will not be granted. Individual event pages also add 16+ rules with supervision transfer, meaning that access is not blanket but event-related. Some theme pages also mention special requirements, such as no photo/video rules, dress codes, or the note that security reserves the right to refuse entry if certain conditions are not met. This sounds strict but is quite common in scene and theme clubs and ensures a clear, curated audience experience. For search terms like rockfabrik discothek gmbh or rockfabrik discothek gmbh photos, the operator aspect is also interesting: The impressum names Blue Flash Gastronomiebetriebe GmbH as the operator, along with office hours, phone number, email, and managing director. This underscores that the Rockfabrik is not just a brand but a structured location with clear responsibilities. Therefore, anyone planning a visit should always keep two things in mind: the specific event with its rules and the general location with its ticket and access offerings. This combination makes the Rockfabrik reliably planable. ([rockfabrik-augsburg.de](https://rockfabrik-augsburg.de/impressum-datenschutz?utm_source=openai))

Photos and Reviews: How Visitors Get a First Impression

When users search for photos or reviews of the Rockfabrik Discothek, it is usually not just about ratings in the narrower sense but about getting as realistic a picture of the atmosphere as possible. The official website works heavily with images, event announcements, and very concrete descriptions of the floors, the outdoor area, and the event themes. This allows one to recognize before the visit whether an evening feels more rocky, dark, poppy, playful, or concert-like. This is important for a location like the Rockfabrik because it is not tailored to a single audience but addresses different scenes and age groups with clearly defined formats. Those looking for photos often primarily want to see how the club looks today after the move in September 2023. Those reading reviews often pay attention to points like musical orientation, atmosphere, organization, parking situation, or the mix of indoor and outdoor space. The official information helps to contextualize such expectations: two floors, partially covered outdoor area, food truck, campfire, clear public transport connection, and a large parking lot already provide many clues for the later experience. The thematic event pages also indirectly provide insight into the audience, as they work with dress codes, community hints, or genre specifications. For a good first impression, it is therefore worthwhile to read the current program page, individual event pages, and the location details together, rather than just looking for a single photo or opinion. This creates a more realistic understanding of why the Rockfabrik is perceived as a cult club in Augsburg: it is not just a discotheque but a mix of scene place, event space, and meeting point with its own history. Loved it Came for a concert and stayed for the goth/EDM/industrial party. Two dancefloors and an outside area to smoke, relax at a fire place, or get fries 🍟 or burgers. So good to see that some niche scenes still have their place to go. Great that Rockfabrik found this place! You can argue that they can setup the soundstage better (too much high frequencies for my taste).. but that's personal taste, and I'm not the reference :) And a hurray to the sanitary folks, who keep the toilets clean all night! Big kudos!
