Christmas Magic in Motion: The Nutcracker in Augsburg
When Tchaikovsky's music fills the hall, Christmas transforms into a dancing fairy tale. On December 26, 2026, Classico Ballet Napoli will present the beloved ballet classic The Nutcracker at the Congress Center in Augsburg. Clara, the Nutcracker, and the Mouse King take the audience into a world between festive reality and nocturnal fantasy.
Clara's Journey Through the Winter Night
At the center of the story is young Clara, who experiences a fantastic transformation on Christmas night. Living puppets, a brave prince, and the battle against the army of mice open the curtain to a poetic dream world. The dramaturgy combines childlike wonder with the timeless fascination of classical ballet.
Tchaikovsky's Music as the Heartbeat of the Production
Peter I. Tchaikovsky's composition is among the most performed works in ballet history. Its changing timbres lead from the festive Christmas mood through mysterious night images to the glittering realm of sweets. Each musical turn provides a new impulse for the precise dramatic artistry of the body and the expressive dance language of the ensemble.
Classico Ballet Napoli: Italian Stage Art
The renowned Italian star ensemble brings the classic to life with magnificent costumes, intricate stage design, and virtuoso dance artistry. In the theatrical atmosphere of the Congress Center, opulent images meet the clear forms of classical ballet. Lighting moods, acoustics, and choreographic dynamics create a winter magic space on stage.
A Ballet for the Whole Family
