Augsburg Calling: A Football Weekend in the Sign of Friendship
From October 23 to 25, 2026, Augsburg will become the meeting city for football fans from all over Germany. Around the Bundesliga home game of FC Augsburg against 1. FC Union Berlin, the peaceful and friendly fan initiative Augsburg Calling invites home and guest fans to an open program.
Football Connects Beyond Club Colors
Augsburg Calling stands for a special fan culture: encounter instead of exclusion, shared experiences instead of rivalry. The city of peace, Augsburg, welcomes its guests with an atmosphere where fan chants, club colors, and pitch excitement belong together. The program is explicitly aimed at all football fans and sets a sign for a positive culture of welcome.
Bundesliga Atmosphere in the WWK ARENA
The highlight of the weekend is the Bundesliga home game FC Augsburg against 1. FC Union Berlin on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 3:30 PM in the WWK ARENA. Entry begins at 1:30 PM, and the stadium opens two hours before the kickoff. When the teams bring their formations onto the pitch, intense pressing, fast transitions, and the passionate support of two large fan bases come together.
More than 90 Minutes of Football
The Augsburg Calling Fan Program extends the match day to an entire weekend. Visitors experience Augsburg as a host city, discover the connection between football, culture, and regional hospitality, and engage with fans of the opposing club. The initiative has been a fixed part of selected FCA home games for many years and is supported by Regio Augsburg Tourismus GmbH.
A Weekend for Home and Guest Fans
The events of Augsburg Calling follow the principle of fans for fans. Previous programs included city tours, fan meeting points, museum visits, and shared encounters in the city center. Offers in jerseys or fan clothing have already been made available for free. For the weekend against Union Berlin, the focus is on the shared experience of the match and the city of Augsburg.
