Yamaha Live Mixing Workshop in Augsburg: Experience live sound in a practical way
How does a clear, powerful, and balanced live mix come about? At the Yamaha Live Mixing Workshop on November 3, 2026, at Bombig in Augsburg, Christian Mayntz will demonstrate what is really important in professional sound reinforcement. The Yamaha Pro Audio Road Tour combines technical expertise with practical demonstrations and is aimed at musicians, bands, DJs, event technicians, and aspiring live sound users.
Practice instead of gray theory
The focus is on typical challenges from the event daily routine: strategically using compressors and equalizers, analyzing sound with a real-time analyzer, and detecting feedback early. The approximately 90-minute workshop imparts understandable workflows for a stable and musical live mix.
Yamaha technology in direct use
The new Yamaha DXR and DXS MK3 speakers will be demonstrated live. Additionally, a Yamaha DM3 will be available on site. Participants will directly experience how modern digital mixers, active speakers, and subwoofers work together in a sound reinforcement system.
From feedback control to virtual soundcheck
Other emphasis will be on the planning of delay lines, the sensible use of floor monitors, and the virtual soundcheck. The content will help to better understand signal paths, to plan the setup of a PA system in a structured way, and to support the audience's mood through controlled, transparent sound.
Experience from studio and live operation
Workshop leader Christian Mayntz has been working as a studio owner for over 25 years and regularly works as a FOH engineer. He also organizes the Studio-Hire Festivals in Ottersberg. His experience connects event management, event planning, and practical sound engineering to provide a vivid message for live sound everyday life.
Program on the event day
The afternoon starts with a DM5C premiere from 4:30 PM to 5:30 PM. The actual mixing workshop will start at 6:00 PM. The event thus offers a compact insight into current Yamaha Pro Audio technology and concrete solutions for concerts, clubs, and mobile sound reinforcement.
The event experience at Bombig combines the atmosphere of a live location in Augsburg with concentrated practical knowledge. Those who want to improve their live sound, assess technical contexts more confidently, and experience Yamaha equipment in action will find direct access to professional audio technology here.
Conclusion: Live sound you can touch
At the Yamaha Live Mixing Workshop, visitors can expect a practical evening with audible demonstrations, experienced expertise, and modern sound reinforcement technology. Admission is free. Anyone who wants to learn about mixing, monitoring, and PA planning not just from books will experience the crucial techniques directly on site at Bombig Augsburg.
