Mr. Sun: A Fascinating Journey Through the Galaxy

On November 10, 2026, the view into the depths of the Milky Way will open at the S-Planetarium Augsburg. The astronomical knowledge show Mr. Sun - Journey Through the Galaxy combines impressive 360-degree projections with scientifically grounded insights into the measurement and development of our galaxy.

With Gaia Through the Milky Way

At the center is the space mission Gaia of the European Space Agency. The satellite measures stars in three dimensions and provides important data on distances, movements, and properties of stellar objects. Temperature, gravity, and composition result in an increasingly precise picture of the structure and history of our galaxy.

Science Under the Planetarium Dome

The presentation accompanies two old school friends on a journey through the Milky Way and makes astronomical research tangible. A cosmic panorama of stars, galaxies, and vast distances unfolds on the dome. The immersive projection creates a special live atmosphere while the moderation explains scientific contexts understandably.

A Concert Experience for Eyes and Mind

Instead of stage performances and concert sounds, visual dramaturgy, cosmic imagery, and expert communication are at the center. The synchronization of projection, narration, and astronomical data transforms the presentation into an intense planetarium experience for curious adults, families, and all who want not only to observe the night sky but to understand it.

Conclusion: Close to the Universe

Mr. Sun - Journey Through the Galaxy invites you to experience the Milky Way from a new perspective. Anyone interested in astronomy, immersive dome images, and grounded knowledge about stars and space research will experience an impressive journey through our cosmic living space at the Augsburg Planetarium.
