In the Depths of the Cosmos: A Journey to the Limits of the Galaxy

On Sunday, November 8, 2026, the dome at S-Planetarium Augsburg opens for an impressive journey through space and time. The event leads past the sun, planets, and stars far beyond the boundaries of our galaxy and connects astronomical knowledge with grand images and philosophical questions.

When the Starry Sky Becomes an Experience

Under the planetarium dome, a special live atmosphere is created: The lifelike starry sky, fulldome projections, and the focused audience mood make the cosmos immediately tangible. Supernovae and black holes appear from unusual perspectives while the projections continually direct the gaze deeper into the void of space.

Science Meets Philosophical Vastness

The show conveys scientific facts about the great structures of the universe and connects them with quotes from scientists, astronauts, and poets. This creates a concert experience without music, but with a precise visual orchestration of images, moderation, and spatial sound. The professionally curated program is aimed at visitors aged ten and older.

An Evening Between Wonder and Knowledge

The public presentation consists of a live moderated segment about the current night sky and the announced planetarium film. The total presentation usually lasts about 60 to 70 minutes. Thus, a diverse event experience is created, combining astronomical expertise, stage performance, and emotional visual power.

Conclusion: Experience the Cosmos Live Under the Dome

In the Depths of the Cosmos invites you to not only observe the starry sky but to experience it as an intense journey through space, time, and imagination. Anyone wishing to discover supernovae, black holes, and the limits of our galaxy in impressive images will find an extraordinary evening for the curious, knowledge enthusiasts, and astronomy lovers at S-Planetarium Augsburg.
