HOI Festival 2026: Three Days of Music, Nature, and True Festival Atmosphere

The HOI Festival transforms the WALDEN Cultural Economy in Blankenburg near Nordendorf from June 26 to June 28, 2026, into a multi-day open-air experience with a special sense of community. The first edition focuses on intimacy rather than mass operation, on a deliberately limited number of visitors, and on a finely curated lineup of Indie, Folk, Jazz, Electronics, and cross-genre sound ideas.

A New Festival with Character

Behind the HOI Festival is the WALDEN Cultural Economy under the artistic leadership and management of Peter Großhauser. The event is designed as the first major music festival on the WALDEN site and utilizes the guesthouse, beer garden with stage, dance floor, festival meadow, and the small woodland as interconnected festival areas. This mixture shapes the character: approachable, relaxed, musically open, and clearly oriented towards a conscious togetherness.

Music Between Meadow, Stage, and Woodland

More than 20 acts are scheduled for the premiere. Featured are Angela Aux, Stefanie Schrank, G Rag y los Hermanos Patchekos, Rosa Anschütz, Kevin Kuhn from Die Nerven, Rumpeln, Dr. Drexler Project, Martyn Schmidt, Walls & Birds, Isidor SR, and Witches of Westend, among others. The festival emphasizes genre- and generation-spanning diversity, ranging from fine songwriter moments to danceable beats. The natural setting creates an open festival atmosphere that feels particularly intense on long summer evenings.

Tickets, Camping, and Travel

According to the organizer, pre-sale is conducted via the official festival website. Day tickets as well as a festival pass for all three days are available. Prices start at 47.50 euros per day ticket, the festival pass costs 102.50 euros, each plus service fee. Parking and tent sites are free, and there is a shuttle service from Nordendorf train station. The walking distance from the station to the venue is estimated to be about 20 to 30 minutes.

What Makes the HOI Festival Special

The premiere focuses on a relaxed multi-day experience with a manageable capacity of around 300 visitors per day. This creates space for encounters, long concerts, short breaks in the beer garden, and that typical festival feeling, where an evening in the green quickly turns into a whole weekend full of music and conversations. The festival is supported, among other things, by the Initiative Musik Festival Funding Fund and by the local community.

Conclusion

The HOI Festival 2026 combines festival atmosphere, natural surroundings, and an exciting artist lineup into a new cultural focal point in the Augsburg region. Those looking for an intimate open-air with camping, shuttle connection, and carefully selected program will experience a summer date with great heart here. Now witness the premiere live and be part of the first HOI weekend from the start.
