Virtual Stage Worlds in the Community Library Lechhausen
On November 12, 2026, the Community Library Lechhausen invites you to a special art experience: At VR On Site, virtual reality productions of the State Theater Augsburg will be directly experienceable. The event connects theater, digital art, and aesthetic experience in an unusual exhibition space.
Theater that Detaches from the Stage
Since 2020, productions have been created at the State Theater Augsburg that are not shown on a traditional stage but are exclusively developed for virtual reality. The VR repertoire opens new perspectives on acting, musical theater, dance, and performative storytelling. Visitors freely choose which production they want to experience.
An Immersive Art Examination
Headsets and digital staging change the relationship to the artwork. Instead of a distant observation, an immersive perception takes place, where spatial effects, movement, sound, and scenic proximity interact immediately. The virtual environment creates a concentrated exhibition atmosphere and makes visible how theater is expanded through digital media.
Cultural Education and Digital Art
VR On Site conveys not only new technologies but also invites engagement with contemporary curating, media staging, and the future of theater. The event is suitable for art enthusiasts, theater fans, and anyone who wants to learn about a modern form of cultural education.
Conclusion: Theater as a Walkable Space of Possibilities
The VR experience at the Community Library Lechhausen promises an intense encounter with digital stage worlds of the State Theater Augsburg. Those who want to experience theater, installation, and virtual art up close should not miss this extraordinary art experience on November 12, 2026.
