Wildes Holz brings Christmas out of rhythm

On Friday, December 11, 2026, Wildes Holz transforms the Kurhaus Göggingen in Augsburg into a stage for surprising Christmas music, virtuoso recorder artistry, and acoustic rock’n’roll. The concert starts at 7:30 PM.

When the recorder suddenly rocks

In Wildes Holz, the recorder takes on a completely new role. Tobias Reisige, Johannes Behr, and Markus Conrads combine recorder, acoustic guitar, and double bass to create a distinctive trio sound that intertwines classical, rock, jazz, pop, reggae, and grunge. Christmas melodies meet energy, humor, and surprising musical twists.

Virtuosity meets musical mischief

The program Every Year Wilder plays with familiar expectations of Christmas concerts. Precise orchestration, quick synchronization, and virtuosic instrumental solos encounter a healthy dose of stage performance. Between romantic tonal colors, danceable grooves, and angular rock, a concert experience emerges that breaks classic listening habits with playful joy.

A trio with its own sound cosmos

For about a quarter of a century, Wildes Holz has represented unusual arrangements and cross-genre live music. The band has played over 2,000 concerts and released numerous albums, including Every Year Wilder – Live, Grobe Schnitzer, and Block Party. Tobias Reisige is regarded as an outstanding recorder player and, together with guitarist Johannes Behr and double bassist Markus Conrads, shapes the characteristic sound of the ensemble.

The Kurhaus Göggingen as a festive concert backdrop

The historic Kurhaus Göggingen is one of the most distinctive venues in Augsburg. The preserved theater architecture from the founding era creates a special live atmosphere where acoustic instruments have an immediate effect. Light, space, and audience mood combine with the warm sound of woodwind instruments, guitar, and double bass.

Conclusion: Christmas sounds wilder this year

Those looking for a concert with surprising arrangements, musical precision, and humorous stage energy will experience a special evening with Wildes Holz. Every Year Wilder takes Christmas classics out of the comfort zone and shows how powerful, playful, and modern acoustic music can sound. Be sure to mark the concert evening at Kurhaus Göggingen and experience Wildes Holz live.
