Tom & Häns bring the great American songs to Augsburg
On December 3, 2026, Tom Appel and Häns Czernik invite you to a special concert evening titled American Songwriter. The event starts at 8:00 PM, with doors opening at 6:30 PM. The duo combines distinctive voices, acoustic guitars, and an intimate live atmosphere into a concert experience full of warmth, character, and musical closeness.
Two voices, two guitars, great songwriter moments
Tom Appel and Häns Czernik dedicate themselves to the classics of the American songwriter tradition. The program includes songs by Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, and Paul Simon, among others. Two acoustic guitars, occasional harmonica, and the extraordinary vocal synchronization of the two musicians give the well-known songs a personal touch.
Acoustic sound with a lot of feeling
The arrangements thrive on transparent instrumentation, precise interplay, and the direct stage performance of the duo. Between Americana, folk, and timeless singer-songwriter pop, a sound emerges that does not overwhelm great melodies but rather reveals their emotional power. Spontaneous moderation and fine irony provide a relaxed connection to the audience.
Musical experience meets zest for playing
Häns Czernik is a cultural recognition award winner from the Freising district and was a singer of the world music formation Luz Amoi. Tom Appel gained stage experience as the voice of the Monday Tramps and The Nice Nice. Their shared love for the great American songwriters forms the foundation for an evening that combines musical expertise, craftsmanship, and genuine joy of playing.
An evening with pre-Christmas atmosphere
The concert edition in December promises not only the well-known American songwriter classics but also selected Christmas songs. This creates a special mix of melancholic depth, casual coolness, and festive anticipation. The audience's mood thrives on songs that have accompanied generations for decades and resonate directly in acoustic arrangements.
