Simon & Garfunkel Tribute meets Classic: Folkrock classics in classical sound
On Friday, November 13, 2026, the Parktheater in the Kurhaus Göggingen in Augsburg transforms into a resonance chamber for timeless folk rock anthems. The concert Simon & Garfunkel Tribute meets Classic 2026 combines the poetic music of the legendary US duo with the tonal colors of a classical string ensemble.
When two voices breathe music history
The duo Graceland, featuring Thomas Wacker as Paul Simon and Thorsten Gary as Art Garfunkel, dedicates itself to the musical spirit of its idols. Two distinctive voices and two guitars meet with a band and string quartet. This gives the well-known melodies a new orchestral depth without losing their intimate core.
Sound of Silence meets orchestral elegance
The program includes central classics such as The Sound of Silence, Cecilia, Mrs. Robinson, The Boxer, and Bridge Over Troubled Water. Between intricate guitar work, precise synchronization, and warm string textures, an eventful concert evening emerges that keeps the sound world of the 1960s and 1970s alive.
Between quiet moments and grand stage performance
The staging thrives on contrast: here, quiet ballads unfold their emotional impact, while there, the band brings the audience to life with rhythmic energy. The classical quartet expands the harmonic architecture of the songs while the stage performance adds new dynamics to the well-known compositions.
A sold-out evening at Parktheater Göggingen
The concert begins on November 13, 2026, at 7:30 PM at the Parktheater in the Kurhaus Göggingen, Klausenberg 6, 86199 Augsburg. The event is designated as sold out. Attendees can expect an emotional concert experience blending folk rock nostalgia, acoustic precision, and classical orchestration.
Conclusion: Simon & Garfunkel Tribute meets Classic brings together great songs, two-part harmonies, guitars, band, and string quartet in a unique live atmosphere. Those wanting to experience the timeless melodies of Simon and Garfunkel in a powerful new sound will find a musical homage here, filled with feeling and craftsmanship.
