Speedfolk Fireworks to End the Year in Augsburg
On December 30, 2026, the Spectrum in Augsburg will transform into a bubbling dance floor: Revelling Crooks celebrate the finale of their Partigiano tour with a relentless home game. As a special guest, Breath Attack brings additional Urban Brass energy to the stage.
Balkan, Klezmer, and Punk in an Explosive Combination
The Revelling Crooks combine Balkan-Klezmer-Punk, Irish Folk, French street chanson, Italian partisan songs, Ska, and Rock’n’Roll into their characteristic Speedfolk. Accordion, mandolin, banjo, violin, whistles, trumpet, guitars, bass, and drums merge into a dense orchestration with driving offbeat and high stage energy.
A Home Game with Decades of Live Experience
For three decades, the Revelling Crooks from Augsburg-Oberhausen have stood for fast dance music, anarchic playing joy, and a lively audience atmosphere. Their latest album In the Year of the Sheep was released in 2024 and continues the musical journey between eastern and western influences. The live atmosphere thrives on fast rhythms, distinctive brass colors, and a sound that immediately sets the room in motion.
Breath Attack Brings Urban Brass to the Stage
Breath Attack adds to the evening with frontal brass power, driving drums, and groovy connections from Balkan beats, pop, and funk. The formation relies on a physical concert experience: powerful brass sections, precise synchronization, and pulsating rhythms meet immediate stage performance.
Doors Open at 7 PM, Concert Starts at 8 PM
Doors open at 7:00 PM, the concert starts at 8:00 PM at the Spectrum on Ulmer Straße. The ticket price is 31 euros in advance, 32 euros at the box office.
Conclusion: Year-End with a Dance Guarantee
This concert combines Augsburg's home game atmosphere with folk-punk orchestra, urban brass, and a musical dramaturgy full of tempo. Those who want to experience Balkan beats, Irish folk, Klezmer, Ska, and Rock’n’Roll live will find the fitting soundtrack for the year-end here.
