Open Music Session at Gaswerk: Experience Music Together

On Monday, December 21, 2026, the Open Music Session invites you to the brechtbühne at Gaswerk. The format of the Augsburg State Theater stands for Community Music, playing music together, and an open exchange about music.

Open Stage for Musical Encounters

At the Open Music Session, it's not about the big performance, but the joy of sound together. Musicians of various skill levels come together, contribute ideas, and develop the evening through direct interplay. This creates a vibrant live atmosphere characterized by spontaneity, closeness to the audience, and changing musical impulses.

Community Music with Direct Audience Engagement

The concept combines musical practice and encounters. Voices, instruments, rhythm, and improvisation can coalesce into surprising moments. The brechtbühne at Gaswerk provides a distinctive setting: an intimate venue of the Augsburg State Theater on the historic Gaswerk site in Augsburg-Oberhausen.

An Evening for Music Fans and the Curious

The session is aimed at people who want to not just hear music but actively experience it. Whether with an instrument, voice, or as an attentive audience: the focus is on the shared concert experience, immediate acoustics, and the energy of a music event that develops in the moment.

Conclusion

The Open Music Session promises an open, communal music evening with plenty of room for encounters and spontaneous stage moments. Those who want to experience Augsburg's diverse music scene up close will find a special meeting point at Gaswerk on December 21, 2026.
