Nils Wülker Quartet brings Confidence to Augsburg

On November 16, 2026, the Parktheater in Kurhaus Göggingen will transform into a space for modern jazz, fine sound colors, and lively improvisation. The Nils Wülker Quartet presents its new album Confidence – a program between melodic clarity, rhythmic precision, and great musical openness.

Trumpet with a distinctive signature

Nils Wülker is among the most prominent German jazz trumpeters and composers of his generation. His playing combines lyrical lines with a powerful stage performance. Trumpet and flugelhorn carry the melodies, set bright accents, and continuously open up space for spontaneous dialogues.

A quartet in constant exchange

On the tour for Confidence, Wülker's trumpet meets piano, double bass, and drums. Jan Miserre, Sven Faller, and Oli Rubow form an ensemble with him whose sound thrives on interaction: precise synchronization in rhythm, breathing harmonies, and plenty of room for improvised turns. Four voices intertwine without losing their individual contours.

Jazz between melody, groove, and exploratory joy

The concert takes the audience through Wülker's current sound world, where modern jazz aesthetics meets catchy melodies. The program combines energy and tranquility, chamber music finesse, and driving groove. The orchestration remains transparent while each instrument receives its own moment.

An artist with an international profile

Nils Wülker already released his debut album High Spirits as the first German jazz musician with Sony Music. Numerous albums followed, including GO, Continuum, and In Concert. He has received several German Jazz Awards in gold for his music; additionally, he was awarded the Hamburg Music Prize HANS and an ECHO Jazz. His work has brought him together with artists such as Gregory Porter, Ute Lemper, Omara Portuondo, Dominic Miller, and Klaus Doldinger.

The Parktheater as a special concert backdrop

The historic Parktheater in Kurhaus Göggingen combines extraordinary architecture of glass and steel with an intimate concert atmosphere. Between light, space, and acoustics, the perfect framework is created for a jazz concert that is not reliant on big effects but lives from the direct musical experience.

Conclusion: Jazz live with attitude and feeling

The Nils Wülker Quartet promises a concert evening in Augsburg full of melodic depth, rhythmic tension, and finely balanced stage performance. Anyone who wants to experience modern jazz with strong compositions and spontaneous interaction should not miss this concert experience at the Parktheater.
