Handpan Build Workshop in Augsburg: Sound, Rhythm and Creative Energy
On Saturday, October 31, 2026, Music World in Augsburg opens the space for an intense handpan experience. The build workshop is aimed at participants who want to get to know this fascinating instrument and deepen their own access to sound, rhythm, and musical expression.
When Metal Becomes Music
The handpan unfolds its characteristic sound even with gentle touches. In the workshop, a concentrated live atmosphere is created where every strike counts, and individual tones grow into initial musical ideas. Small groups create a personal learning environment with plenty of space for attention, exchange, and creative experimentation.
Striking Techniques, Rhythms, and Scales
The focus is on various striking techniques, rhythmic patterns, and exploring different scales. Participants work on synchronization, dynamics, and a secure feeling for the pulse. Step by step, initial melodies and small music pieces emerge that connect technical fundamentals with spontaneous creativity.
Musical Expertise with Martin Geiberger
Instructor Martin Geiberger conveys not only practical playing impulses but also valuable knowledge about handling and caring for the handpan. Thus, the workshop combines instrument knowledge with stage performance, sound design, and a mindful approach to the sensitive sound body.
Few Spots Available for the Build Workshop
The build workshop starts on October 31, 2026, at 7:00 PM at Music World on Eichleitnerstraße 34 in Augsburg. The participation fee is 50 euros. Only a few spots are still available for the build date. Registration can be done by phone at 0821 907900 or via the event page of Music World.
Conclusion: Experience Handpan Live and Play
This concert experience does not begin in front of a stage but directly in the hands of the participants.
