Groovin' Oaks bring Augsburg to Groove

On Friday, November 6, 2026, the theater hall in the cultural center abraxas in Augsburg will transform into a pulsating stage for soul, rhythm & blues, funk, and rock. Groovin' Oaks will revive well-known classics starting at 8:00 PM and combine experienced Augsburg musicians with a powerful horn section and two expressive voices.

Live Atmosphere between Soul, Funk, and Rock

When guitar, drums, bass, and keyboard intertwine, a sound with much pressure and warmth is created. The rhythm group around Buddy Brudzinski on guitar and Gsello Gsellmeier on drums is one of the defining formations in Augsburg's rock and blues history. Peter Laubmeier on keyboard and Reinhard Hofmann on bass provide the harmonic foundation.

Brass Section and Strong Voices

The orchestration receives additional color from Sylvie Ritzer on trombone, Simon Hauck on trumpet, and Robert Häußler on saxophone. Victoria Yeremenko and Vanessa Valenzano lead the stage performance with impressive voices and give the songs their emotional depth.

Hits for the Dance Floor

The program takes you back to the 1970s and 1980s: party hits from Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, and Joe Cocker meet relaxed grooves like All Night Long by Lionel Richie and Caribbean sound colors with Smooth by Santana. Between driving funk, soulful ballads, and rock energy, a varied concert experience arises for all who enjoy great songs live and in full range.

Groovin' Oaks stand for well-rehearsed musicians, precise synchronization, and an audience mood that quickly jumps from the first beat to the dance floor.
