Friday Jazz Jam: Free Jazz Evening at rheingold Augsburg
On Friday, November 27, 2026, rheingold in Augsburg's textile quarter will transform into an open meeting place for jazz fans, musicians, and artists. The monthly Friday Jazz Jam starts at 8:00 PM and combines live atmosphere, spontaneous improvisation, and musical encounters.
Jazz with a Personal Touch
Johanna Hofmann will open the evening with a tribute to Blossom Dearie. Her music represents elegant melody lines, subtle rhythmic nuances, and a characteristic blend of jazz, vocals, and warm stage presence. The program sets a stylish kickoff before the evening turns into an open session.
When Listeners Become Players
After the opening segment, the stage is open to all jazz enthusiasts, both newcomers and experienced musicians. This is where the unique charm of this jam session arises: musicians meet, react spontaneously, and develop new sound colors through collaboration. Improvisation, synchronization, and musical communication shape the subsequent course.
Live Sound Between Swing, Blues, and Modern Grooves
The Friday Jazz Jam thrives on immediate moments. A brief glance on stage, a surprising rhythmic change, or a finely placed solo can alter the character of an entire piece. The audience experiences jazz not as a fixed concert program but as an open process with changing line-ups and immediate audience mood.
Free Entry, Donations Welcome
Entry is free; donations for the performing musicians are appreciated. This keeps the session accessible while simultaneously providing space for professional stage experience, musical discoveries, and collective listening.
Conclusion: The Friday Jazz Jam at rheingold promises an atmospheric evening with a Blossom Dearie tribute, spontaneous improvisation, and open access to the jazz stage. Those who wish to experience jazz directly, vibrantly, and without fixed boundaries should attend this Augsburg concert experience live.
