Forgotten voices brought to light
On Friday, October 23, 2026, the song evening Daphne, your rosy cheeks invites you to the parish center Haus St. Michael in Aichach. Soprano Annika Rioux and Stephanie Knauer on piano connect well-known works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart with musical rediscoveries by composers of the Viennese Classical era.
Mozart in dialogue with his contemporaries
The program centers on those female musicians whose creative work has long remained in the shadow of their male colleagues. Songs by W. A. Mozart meet works by Maria Theresia Paradis, Marianne Martinez, Josepha Auernhammer, and other female composers. Thus, a concert evening emerges that combines familiar classical sound worlds with surprising perspectives.
Soprano and piano with fine sound direction
Annika Rioux shapes the vocal lines with a clear, expressive stage performance. Stephanie Knauer sets colorful harmonic accents on the piano and forms a precise musical synchronization together with the soprano. Between song-like intimacy, virtuosic ornamentation, and sensitive melody, an immediate live atmosphere unfolds.
A musical journey through the Viennese Classical era
The song evening combines music history and concert experience: The audience encounters female composers who significantly shaped the music life of their time and received recognition for their creativity and virtuoso skills. The juxtaposition with Mozart makes stylistic similarities, individual signatures, and surprising sound colors audible.
Conclusion: Discovering classical music that raises new questions
Daphne, your rosy cheeks promises a special concert evening for lovers of art song, Viennese classicism, and extraordinary musical discoveries. Those who wish to experience classical music from an expanded perspective should enjoy this song evening in Aichach live.
