AUXBURG JAMSESSIONS: Improvised Jazz with maximum club proximity
On Tuesday, November 17, 2026, the Jazzclub Augsburg transforms into an open sound space for spontaneous ideas, precise interaction, and vibrant audience atmosphere. The AUXBURG JAMSESSIONS start at 8:30 PM and bring jazz fans, musicians, and curious first-time visitors right into the heart of Augsburg.
When every beat is newly created
A jam session thrives on the moment: A brief motif sets in motion, the drums provide the impetus, bass and piano shape the foundation, while solos find their direction only in interplay. Exactly this immediate synchronization is what makes the AUXBURG JAMSESSIONS exciting. The music remains open, reacts to the space, and develops with every new twist.
Intimate jazz club atmosphere
At the Jazzclub Augsburg, concentrated sound and short distances to the stage meet. The compact club size creates a dense live atmosphere, where fine dynamics, articulation, and every nuance of the stage performance directly reach the audience. Instead of great distance, an intense concert experience with proximity, energy, and real session character emerges.
Jazz as a musical laboratory
Improvisation demands technical skill, stylistic confidence, and mutual listening. In the orchestration of the moment, rhythm, harmony, and spontaneous lines converge into a concert evening without a rigid script. This makes the AUXBURG JAMSESSIONS a unique meeting place for all who want to not only consume jazz but experience it in its creation.
