From October 3 to 11, 2026, the 6th International Organ Festival Augsburg transforms the historic city center churches of the Fugger city into impressive concert venues. Under the direction of Willibald Guggenmos, an internationally performing organist and retired cathedral organist of St. Gallen, five renowned organists from Europe will meet the rich organ landscape of Augsburg.
International top class at the queen of instruments
The festival brings together outstanding artists from Helsinki, Athens, Prague, and Germany. Jan Lehtola opens the concert series on October 3 at 8 p.m. in St. Moritz. He is followed by Ourania Gassiou on October 4 in the Basilica of St. Ulrich and Afra, Marius Herb on October 8 in St. Sebastian, Ondrej Valenta on October 10 in St. Anna, and Winfried Lichtscheidel to conclude on October 11 in the High Cathedral.
