20 Years of Komazama: Drum Power and Groove at Abraxas
Komazama celebrates 20 years full of rhythm, movement, and musical encounters. On Saturday, November 21, 2026, the Augsburg percussion group will transform the cultural house Abraxas into a vibrating sound space between African rhythms and airy Latin grooves.
Earthy Beats Meet Sunny Latin Grooves
The sound of Komazama lives on energy, precision, and a direct physical impulse. Bass drums, congas, djembes, small percussion, and bells intertwine and develop an infectious music mix that gets you moving from the very first beat.
A Percussion Concert with an International Sound
Since 2006, Komazama has combined different musical influences into a unique live experience. Songs and extraordinary instruments open sound worlds from various cultures. The concert unites musical dynamics with an open, communal party atmosphere.
Live Energy at the Cultural House Abraxas
The cultural house Abraxas is one of Augsburg's cultural centers and provides the perfect setting for this anniversary concert. On stage, an intense club experience unfolds without electronic distance: real drumming, changing rhythmic accents, and a crowd that directly picks up the groove.
20 Years, One Concert, One Shared Groove
Under the direction of Sonja Poland, Komazama presents an anniversary program with rhythmic depth, melodic moments, and powerful live presence. The dance floor mood is created not by a classic DJ set, but by the immediate pressure of the instruments and the ensemble's interplay.
