Sascha Grammel makes Augsburg laugh with his puppets

When a turtle suddenly has more stage presence than some people, Sascha Grammel is not far away. On Friday, November 27, 2026, the comedian will perform his show Wish for something at the Schwabenhalle Augsburg. The start is at 8:00 PM.

Puppet Comedy with cult figures and precise timing

Sascha Grammel combines stand-up, ventriloquism, puppetry, and magic into his own comedy style: puppet comedy. His characters receive their own voices, personalities, and an astonishingly developed opinion on world events. Particularly well-known are the eagle-pheasant Frederic Freiherr von Furchensumpf, the shy turtle Josie, and Prof. Dr. Peter Hacke.

Wish for something: a laughter experience for the whole hall

The current live program relies on quirky ideas, quick dialogues, and the charming loss of control that occurs when puppets seemingly do their own thing. Grammel's stage technique remains invisible while his voices and timing give the characters astonishing liveliness. The audience experiences a comedy atmosphere, pointed interactions, and audience reactions that ripple through the Schwabenhalle.

From magic trio to award-winning comedian

Grammel gained early experience in magic and founded the magic trio Die Zauderer in 1992. As a solo artist, he developed a mix of self-irony, wordplay, puppetry, and ventriloquism. For his work, he has received, among other awards, the Bambi and several German Comedy Awards. TV appearances and successful stage programs made his characters known to a large audience.

Conclusion: When puppets have the better punchlines

In Augsburg, comedy fans can expect a colorful evening with strong characters, unusual voices, and much love for comedic detail. Anyone wanting to experience stand-up, cabaret, ventriloquism, and puppetry in a large live show should not miss Sascha Grammel at the Schwabenhalle.
