When punchlines compete for the trophy: GTD Comedy Slam in Augsburg

On Saturday, November 28, 2026, the Kresslesmühle in Augsburg will transform into an arena for stand-up, cabaret, and ruthless audience voting. At the GTD Comedy Slam, at least four newcomers and comedians will compete against each other with their own jokes. The audience decides who will leave the evening as the winner.

15 minutes of fame, a microphone, and no excuses

Each participant has a maximum of 15 minutes to win over the audience. Reading is forbidden, outside jokes stay at home, and every second counts for timing. This creates an energetic comedy atmosphere where punchlines directly engage with audience reactions.

The audience is the jury

Here, a distant panel of experts does not decide, but rather the audience in the hall. Those who deliver the strongest punchlines, showcase the best stage presence, and master interaction with the audience at the right moment collect the decisive votes. This ensures excitement, surprises, and a laughter experience with real competitive factors.

The path to the Augsburg annual champion

The event on November 28 is one of two semifinals in Augsburg. The winners of the semifinals will compete against each other in the annual finals on December 19. There, the audience will choose the Augsburg annual champion. The winner also qualifies for the southern German GTD championship and the national finals in 2026.

Comedy slam with a nationwide stage

The Gag Test Dummies organize the GTD Comedy Slam in more than ten cities. Annually, over 100 comedians perform on the stages. The Augsburg evening combines talent promotion, stand-up competition, and spontaneous comedy energy into a format where no one knows which gag will hit next.

Conclusion: Be there live and help decide

For those who want to not only consume comedy but actively influence it, the Kresslesmühle offers an evening full of timing, stage presence, and surprising punchlines. Secure your tickets, take your seats, and help decide who will send Augsburg's comedy future to the finals.
